UCLA football: Jim Mora thinks (and hopes) Brett Hundley will return

EL PASO — UCLA Coach Jim Mora believes quarterback Brett Hundley will return for his junior season — or so he hopes, anyway.
Mora, speaking at the Hyundai Sun Bowl news conference, was asked if he had given any thought to Tuesday’s game being the last time he would have Hundley.
“No,” responded Mora, who then added: “I don’t think it will be.”
He paused and left wiggle room, saying, “I am very hopeful it won’t be.”
Hundley has said he will decide whether to declare for the NFL draft sometime after the Sun Bowl. Underclassmen have until Jan. 15 to declare for the draft.
UCLA offensive lineman Xavier Su’a-Filo, a junior, will also make a decision whether to stay or go.
Said Mora: “I’m not thinking about what happens after the game, our focus is on getting from right now to the end of game, having as much success as we can. Then we’ll worry about all those things.”
