USC’s Aaron Brown finishes fifth in 100 at NCAA championships

Aaron Brown of USC finished fifth in the men’s 100-meter final at the NCAA track and field championships at Eugene, Ore.
Brown, a junior from Toronto who competed for Canada in the 2012 London Games, clocked 10.01 seconds to finish behind Charles Silmon of Texas Christian, who won in 9.89, Florida State’s Dentarius Locke (9.91), Mississippi’s Isiah Young and Alabama’s Diondre Baston (10.01).
USC senior Bryshon Nellum, a 2012 U.S. Olympian, will compete in the 400-meter final Friday evening.
Nellum and Brown also qualified for Saturday’s 200-meter final.
Earlier Friday, USC senior Reggie Wyatt won the 400-meter hurdles in 48.58 seconds.
Alitta Boyd and Melia Cox are competing in the final of the women’s triple jump.
