UCLA baseball: Bruins fall to USC

USC’s baseball team continued its resurgence with a 8-4 victory over No. 6 UCLA in a nonconference game Sunday at Dodger Stadium.
The No. 25 Trojans (15-1) defeated No. 7 Texas Christian on Friday and top-ranked Vanderbilt Saturday. On Sunday, Jeremy Martinez and Blake Lacey both drove in two runs, and A.J. Ramirez homered, for the Trojans.
Reggie Southall’s RBI single gave USC a 4-3 in the fourth inning. Lacey’s two-run single in the fifth extended the lead to, 6-3.
Mitch Hart (3-0) allowed four runs in 5 2/3 innings for the victory.
Christian Bono had a two-run homer for UCLA (11-4).
