Update: USC enters the final weekend of the regular season with the most losses in school history. If there is a positive, it has been the recent play of guard Byron Wesley. The freshman from Etiwanda High scored a career-best 18 points at Arizona last Thursday and then eclipsed that performance Saturday with 22 points in a 56-52 loss at Arizona State. “I thought I could come out and make a huge impact at the beginning of the year, but obviously that’s not how college works,” Wesley said. “So I just figured that I have to just grow as the season went on and I’ve done that. I’ve improved but still have a lot to do.” Washington can clinch a share of the Pac-12 regular-season title with a victory. The Huskies defeated the Trojans, 69-41, at Seattle on Feb. 4 and they are coming off a 59-55 victory over Washington State. Freshman guard Tony Wroten is averaging 16.7 points for the Huskies. Sophomore guard Terrence Ross is averaging 15.1 points.
