Laguna Beach seeking residents for six city committees

The Laguna Beach City Council is accepting applications for the following committees, commissions and boards: Recreation Committee (two spots), Design Review Board (one opening), Parking, Traffic and Circulation Committee (four openings), Heritage Committee (three openings), Arts Commission (one opening) and the Environmental Sustainability Committee (five openings).
The council will interview all candidates and vote during its 6 p.m. meeting Jan. 19. Applicants may be contacted by council members prior to the interviews and appointments, and should be prepared to make brief statements about their desire to serve.
Interested Laguna Beach residents should obtain an application from the city clerk’s office or online at lagunabeachcity.net. Applications must be filed with the city clerk by 5 p.m. Jan. 5.
