Web Buzz: TheSuitest.com makes it easy to compare luxury hotels
- Share via
You’re going to want to tell your travel agent — or personal assistant — about this value-added hotel-booking website.
Name: TheSuitest.com
What it does: Side-by-side comparisons of four-star hotels (and grander) in the U.S.
What’s hot: It adds a whole new dimension to sorting amenities. I loved that I could craft my search results by the type of view I wanted (water, mountain, landmark, property, pool, etc.) or — for those with sensitive feet — by floor type (carpet, hardwood, stone, other). Need a jet tub? No problem. Even better, if you’re looking for more square footage for less cash, you can sort your hotel search results by price per square foot. If you have your heart set on a particular hotel or town, the dynamic price and availability graph will reveal the best times to travel in the next six months. Chances are you haven’t seen a hotel booking site like this.
What’s not: You must select additional hotel fees as an option. That makes sense if you don’t need parking facilities, but when resort fees are mandatory, I’d like to see them included and not as an option.
