Pasadena: A look at Chuan Spa opening soon at Langham Huntington
- Share via
The Langham Huntington in Pasadena will open an expansive new Chuan Spa in June that draws on the principles of Chinese traditional medicine. It will offer exclusive skin-care treatments as well as massages and beauty care services in 12 treatment rooms.
Langham developed the Chuan Spa concept in Hong Kong and opened the first one at its hotel there in 2008. The Huntington spa will offer anti-aging and skin resurfacing treatments in the spa. It also will house a Contemplation Lounge and Dream Room as well as sauna and steam rooms and Jacuzzi in 11,000 square feet.
The deal: Guests who want to test the waters can try out the Chuan Spa Escape package that begins at $339 a night, excluding tax. It includes a $100 spa credit per night, a robe with a Langham logo (valued at $100) and free valet parking ($25 a night).
When: The offer is good for stays starting June 9 and is based on availability.
Tested: In a quick online check, I generally found midweek prices cheaper than weekends. I found availability for the package on June 18 and July 4 for $359 a night plus tax. The robe, spa credit and parking add up to a $225 value.
