Wes Anderson’s big adventure? Maybe so, aboard Queen Mary 2 cruise

Wes Anderson is about to do something he’s never done: take a cruise on the Queen Mary 2.
“The Grand Budapest Hotel” director and cohorts Tilda Swinton, Jason Schwartzman and Roman Coppola will appear aboard a June 13 eastbound transatlantic crossing. Fans will have a chance to meet the A-list filmmakers and actors during the seven days the Cunard Line ship will be at sea.
Passengers on the voyage from New York City to Southampton, England, will have an opportunity to attend screenings of Anderson’s films, including “Budapest Hotel,” and participate in a Q&A session with the group in the ship’s Royal Court Theatre.
The ship marks its 10th anniversary this year. In a press statement about the cruise, Anderson said that he previously had been on one of the last sailings of the Queen Elizabeth 2, which Cunard retired in 2008.
When: The cruise leaves New York City on June 13.
Price: Starting at $1,298 per person for an inside cabin, $1,648 for an ocean-view cabin (port taxes and fees excluded). It includes the cruise, meals and on-board activities. International airfare is extra.
