USC football: Curtis McNeal says he’s not worried about Silas Redd

USC running back Curtis McNeal says he’s not worried by Coach Lane Kiffin’s recruitment of Penn State running back Silas Redd, and would welcome Redd to the team if he decides to join the Trojans.
“I have no problem with it,” McNeal said Thursday. “It only helps us by giving us more depth.”
McNeal, a fifth-year senior, rushed for 1,005 yards in 145 carries in 2011.
“I have no fear of losing my spot,” he said. “I showed the coaches what I could do last season.”
Kiffin reportedly met with Redd in Connecticut, and the junior could visit USC this weekend.
McNeal is the Trojans’ most experienced tailback. Sophomore D.J. Morgan rushed for 163 yards in 42 carries last season. Redshirt freshman Buck Allen has struggled with injuries.
